Hair Tips
Daily Care
-
Keep styling products to a minimum, for it will cause hair/wig to lose their luster.
-
We recommend applying a weightless/light, alcohol-free hair serum for the shine to prevent dryness as needed.
-
VIRGIN & RAW HAIR! It is recommended to co-wash hair before installation for the best results. Our favorite brands: are Organix, Curls unleashed & Tresseme. (All moisture rich)
-
Brush or comb through to style
Straight Or Body Wave Maintenance
-
Condition hair at least once a week using good quality sulfate-free moisture-rich products for best results; we recommend Tresseme smooth and silky shampoo for straight and body wave textures.
-
Do not massage or scrub while washing; swish gently from side to side.
-
Rinse thoroughly & use a towel or hand squeeze to remove excess water
-
Apply a moisturizing conditioner(Tresseme) and comb your hair, starting with the ends and working your way up.
-
Rinse thoroughly and use a dime size of oil to lock the moisture in your hair
-
Allow to air dry.
-
Please do not use excessive oil products on your hair, for it will cause hair to weigh down and become stiff.
-
Always apply a heat protectant spray when using heating tools on your hair.
-
Excessive use of heating tools can damage your hair and reduce your lifespan.
Curly Maintenance
-
Apply a moisture-rich Conditioner and comb your hair, starting with the ends and working your way up to your roots.
-
Leave the Conditioner in for at least 15 minutes or more.
-
Do not massage the hair.
-
Rinse thoroughly.
-
Scrunch hair gently to enhance the curls.
-
When damp, apply a dime size of anti-frizz alcohol-free hair serum for a more tame look.
-
Let air-dry.
-
Do not use oil products excessively on curly hair; it will cause matting.
-
Do not brush or comb hair when dry; it will cause hair to frizz and may cause hair to tangle & break off.
Important NOTE: Conditioner-only wash is recommended at least 3 times a week
Bed Time Care
-
Before going to bed, braid your hair into one sizeable loose braid and wear a satin silk scarf or bonnet.
-
After waking up, undo the braid and comb using a wide tooth comb (or paddle brush), beginning at the ends and working your way up to the roots.
-
Style as needed
-
For bouncy waves, style with Flexi-rods or pin curls
Lace Frontals, Lace Wigs & Closures
You must know laces are to be done by a person with experience. Laces are delicate and easy to damage if you don't see what you are doing or how to care for them. The hair is only attached to the lace by a knot. If you over-process your knots, you will experience a severe case of shedding. If you are too rough on the lace combing & brushing, it will shed. Laces are not meant to last forever. Originally lace wigs, frontals & closures were for movies & performances. They have now transitioned into being everyday wear for everyone. You must know and understand the lifespan of laces. Your bundles can be re-used for 1-2 years with proper care & depending on how often you wear them. You can reuse your lace up to 5 times with appropriate care. Keep in mind that they will shed over time.
